The Niles: Website and Newspaper on Sudan and South Sudan

There is a relatively new newspaper and web site in English and Arabic called The Niles, a project initiated by Media in Cooperation and Transition (MICT) to promote independent, balanced and accurate coverage of Sudan and South Sudan.  Some 20 journalists from Sudan and South Sudan contribute to The Niles.  MICT also sponsors practical training and coaching to help advance reporters' skills in relaying stories that shape people's lives.  The Niles partners with Al Sahafa and The Citizen.  The Niles is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office and managed by MICT.
