The Geneva-based think tank Diplomatic Affairs posted on 27 December 2023 an article titled "Zambia's Foreign Minister Stanley Kakubo Resigns Amidst Allegations of Improper Business Dealings" by Cora Sulleyman.
A video circulating on Zambian social media showed two unidentified individuals counting stacks of money on a table. The two persons in the video allegedly were Zambia's foreign minister and a Chinese businessman.
