The International Crisis Group posted on 15 May 2024 a three-minute video titled "Somalia's Climate Crisis and the fight against Al-Shabaab" with Nazanine Moshiri.
Somalia is the world's second most vulnerable country to climate change. One-fifth of the country has been displaced by extreme climate events. The Somali government needs to provide the infrastructure to deal with floods and drought if it expects to combat successfully al-Shabaab.
