The World Bank has released a summary of its ranking for doing business in Sudan for 2013. Out of 185 economies ranked, Sudan held position number 143, a drop of three places as compared to 2012. The average ranking for Sub-Saharan Africa was 140.
Sudan scored well on registering property and satisfactorily on resolving insolvency. It scored low on getting credit, dealing with construction permits and protecting investors.
