Kenya and Regional Economic Diplomacy
The South African Institute of International Affairs published in February 2013 a paper titled "The Economic Diplomacy of Kenya's Regional Interests." Written by Leonard Wanyama, Kenya-based project officer in the regional office of the Society for International Development for Eastern Africa, the paper connects relevant issues within Kenya's contemporary economic diplomacy in relation to regional trade and political risk. He argues that Kenya's balancing of export and investment promotion, in trade or foreign policy that facilitates new growth, can be efficiently managed only with the application of precise standards.
