The Strategic Review for Southern Africa published in November 2016 an article titled "China in Africa: A Threat to African Countries?" by Chien-Kai Chen, Rhodes College in Tennessee.
The author concludes that Chinese government policy towards Africa suggests that it is no threat while the words and deed of Chinese non-state actors suggest the opposite conclusion.
