The Contours of China-Africa Relations

Modern Diplomacy posted on 29 April 2017 a commentary titled "The Contours of China-Africa Relations" by Bhaso Ndzendze, a student at the University of Witwatersrand and writer on African issues.

This is a commentary on the current state of China-Africa relations by a South African student who has written extensively on African issues. He both criticizes and praises China's policies in Africa. He concludes that the Forum on China Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), while far from perfect, has an important and increasingly central role to play in harmonizing the gains between China and Africa.
