The Diplomatic Courier posted on 9 July 2018 a commentary titled "China's Presence in Africa Comes with a New Edge" by Uju Okoye.
The author argues that China is expanding its engagement in Africa to bolster military relations and pursue subtler, soft-power strategies as the United States retreats from the continent.
