Does Africa Need China More than China Needs Africa?

The Lusaka Times published on 7 June 2020 a commentary titled "Does Africa Need China More than China Needs Africa?" by Wesley Ngwenya, A Zambian author.

Answering the question "Does Africa Need China More than China Needs Africa?" the author said the short answer is "no."  He added, however, that for the most part, the relationship between Africa and China has been mutually beneficial.  The challenge is that Africans have not used their resources as leverage.  Or is it a question of money going into the pockets of African leaders?
