The US Institute of Peace posted on 12 November 2020 a commentary titled "What Ethiopia's Brewing Conflict Means for the Country--and the Region" by Aly Verjee and Susan Stigant.
The authors conclude that honest international brokers should urgently convey to both the Ethiopian federal government and leaders in Tigray region, in unequivocal terms, their expectation that hostilities should be halted without further delay. That should be followed by a process of national dialogue.
