The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) updated on 8 March 2021 its section on Tigray Region.
Reports of intensified fighting and lack of assistance in rural parts of Tigray Region continue to drive displacement of people. The security situation remains fluid. The presence of various armed forces and shifting lines of control pose serious challenges to humanitarian aid personnel. Possible war crimes have been committed by Ethiopian National Defense Forces, the TPLF, Eritrean armed forces, and Amhara militia.
