The US Institute of Peace posted on 28 April 2021 a commentary titled "Sidestepping Great Power Rivalry: U.S.-China Competition in Africa" by Joseph Sany and Thomas P. Sheehy.
This is a call to reassess in the Biden administration U.S. competition with China in Africa. It concludes that any U.S. policy that fails to take into account African conditions and aspirations is doomed to fail.
