The Guardian published on 6 July 2021 an article titled "Tigray Forces Mobilise against Militias from Neighboring Province" by Jason Burke.
The article reports that Tigray Defense Forces are massing in central Tigray to retake western Tigray, which was occupied by militia from neighboring Amhara region. Ethiopian National Defense Forces have reportedly pulled out of western Tigray.
