UN Security Council Sends Ethiopian Dam Controversy to African Union

 Reuters published on 9 July 2021 an article titled "U.N. Security Council Backs AU Bid to Broker Ethiopia Dam Deal" by Michelle Nichols.  

Sudan and Egypt requested that the U.N. Security Council take up the controversy of construction of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam on the Blue Nile.  The U.N. Security Council concluded that the African Union is the best location for negotiations to continue.
