Algeria is a major customer for Chinese military equipment and already has Chinese reconnaissance drones.  It has now placed an order for five armed drones.

Egypt earlier received drones from China and is now in talks to deliver an undisclosed number of Wing Loong I-D UAVs to the Egyptian Air Force.

While Turkey is a major competitor to China in the sale of drones to African countries, the United States has withheld sales to a number of countries.
