The Valdai Discussion Group, which originated in Russia but subsequently became an international group of elites to promote dialogue, published on 3 February 2022 an analysis titled "Both Sides Could Lose in the Conflict in Ethiopia" by Ivan Loshkarev.
Although just published, this analysis does not reflect the current military situation in Ethiopia. It concludes, however, that both sides could lose, which would set Ethiopia back decades in terms of socioeconomic development.
