Foreigners Rush to Save Their Own in Sudan

MSNBC posted on 3 May 2023 a commentary titled "Why Sudan's Power Struggle Is So Ripe for Foreign Interference" by Nayyera Haq.

As of 3 May, more than 1,500 Americans had been evacuated from Sudan, most from Khartoum by bus 500 miles away to Port Sudan and then 180 miles by boat across the Red Sea to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.  An estimated 50,000 foreigners have fled Sudan since conflict broke out on 15 April.  Countries with foreign nationals in Sudan are quick to take care of their own as Sudan devolves into chaos.
