The North Africa Post published on 17 December 2025 an article titled "Morocco and China Target Africa Partnership and Trade Balance in Beijing Talks."
A high level Moroccan delegation visited Beijing to discuss Rabat's role as an African hub and strategic platform for developing China-Africa relations with the Forum for China-Africa Cooperation. There was a focus on trying to balance the bilateral trade relationship.
Comment: The Morocco-China trade relationship is a problem. In 2024, Morocco imported $7.7 billion worth of goods from China and exported only $1.3 billion worth to China.
