US Treasury Secretary Visits Sudan and Egypt

 The Associated Press posted on 6 January 2021 an article titled "Sudan Says It Signs Deal on Normalizing Ties with Israel" by Samy Magdy.  

US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin just completed a visit to Egypt and Sudan, where the government in Khartoum signed the "Abraham Accords" that pave the way for Sudan to normalize relations with Israel.  Mnuchin also discussed debt relief with the government of Sudan.  

President Trump Discusses Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam with President al-Sissi

President Donald Trump discussed on 3 March 2020 the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam on the Blue Nile with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi after U.S.-brokered talks involving Egypt, Ethiopia, and Sudan fell apart last week. Ethiopia's Foreign Minister Gedu Andargachew said Ethiopia is prepared to continue the talks but does not want Washington to rush them or influence the outcome.
