I recently wrote an analysis of the threat to Somalia by the al-Shabaab organization. Published as an E-note by the Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI) in Philadelphia, Penn., it is a short version of a paper on the same subject that I presented in Washington in September at a conference on “The Foreign Fighter Problem: Recent Trends and Case Studies” hosted by FPRI and the Reserve Officers Association.
