The South China Morning Post published on 7 August 2026 an article titled "What China's Expanded Funding for HIV/Aids in Africa Means as US Cuts Health Aid" by Jevans Nyabiage.
As the United States reduces its funding in Africa for HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention, China is modestly increasing assistance. US funding remains, however, much higher than that coming from China.
