Refugees International published on 9 March 2017 a report titled "Getting It Right: Protection of South Sudanese Refugees in Uganda."
South Sudanese refugees fleeing into Uganda have created one the fastest growing humanitarian crises in the world today. Uganda now hosts more refugees, an estimated 700,000, than any other country in Africa. The overwhelming majority are women and children.

Refugees International Calls on South Sudan to Protect Its People
Refugees International issued a field report dated 11 July 2013 by Caelin Briggs titled "South Sudan: Protection and Assistance Challenges Demand a Firm Response." The report calls on the government of South Sudan to do a better job of protecting its own people, some of whom experience abuse at the hands of the SPLA.

Investigating Sexual Violence in South Sudan
Refugees International released on 18 June 2013 a brief report titled "South Sudan: Investigating Sexual Violence in Conflict Proves Challenging." It looks at the role of Women's Protection Advisors (WPAs) established by the United Nations to address conflict-related sexual violence, in this case in South Sudan.

The Fate of IDPs in Somalia
In a report dated 1 November 2012, Refugees International evaluated the status of some 1.36 million internally displaced Somalis in Somalia and Somaliland. The organization concluded that while Somaliland is primed for long-term development opportunities, conditions in parts of Somalia are improving but the internally displaced population is at risk of being left behind.
