US Security Policy in East Africa and the Horn
World Politics Review published on 20 February 2013 an article I wrote titled "Walking the Line: U.S. Security Policy in East Africa and the Horn." The article looks at US policy that tries to balance support from Ethiopia, Djibouti, Kenya and Uganda for US counterterrorism and political issues in the region with a desire to see better human rights practices and more rapid democratization in all of these countries and Rwanda.
