The Enough Project published in August 2016 a paper titled "Khartoum's Economic Achilles' Heel: The Intersection of War, Profit, and Greed" by Suliman Baldo. The paper argues that Sudan's weakened economy is an ideal time to put more pressure on the government to seek a peace deal that leads to a transition to democracy.
