Sudan's participation in the Saudi-led military operation in Yemen beginning in March 2015 has led to a remarkable improvement in the relationship between Riyadh and Khartoum and a break in relations with Tehran. The relationship between Sudan and Saudi Arabia will likely grow because of Sudan's strategic value on the Red Sea and as a gateway to Africa.
