The May/June 2017 issue of the Harvard Business Review has an article titled "The World's Next Great Manufacturing Center" by Irene Yuan Sun, McKinsey & Company.
The author argues that Africa is well situated to inherit much of the low-end manufacturing that is becoming less profitable in China. She looks at examples in Nigeria, Ethiopia and Kenya.
