The Hill published on 22 February 2022 a commentary titled "America's Interests in Stopping Russian Destabilization Must Extend to Africa" by K. Riva Levinson, CEO of a Washington-based consulting firm.
The author argues that Kremlin proxies such as the Wagner Group of trained mercenaries and the Internet Research Agency, a troll farm run out of St. Petersburg, both of which are active in Africa, should face US sanctions.
