The New York Times published on 19 March 2022 an article titled "'They Keep Killing Us': Violence Rages in Sudan's Darfur Two Decades On" by Abdi Latif Dahir.
Although Darfur is no longer in the news and the African Union/United Nations peacekeeping mission left a year ago, the violence continues. At least 700 people were killed or injured in armed attacks last year.
