Kenya: Impact of Trade on Relations with China and US

 The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace published on 15 September 2022 an analysis titled "Will U.S.-China Competition Shape Kenya's Trade Trajectory?" by Zainab Usman and Alina Abayo.

China is Kenya's largest trade partner; the United States ranks far behind at number five.  However, in 2020, China accounted for about one-third of Kenya's global trade deficit while the U.S. had only a small trade surplus with Kenya.
