World Politics Review published on 14 December 2022 a commentary titled "The West Should Take a Backseat to Africa on African Security Crises" by Alexander Clarkson, King's College London.
Drawing on the example of recent conflicts in Ethiopia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the author argues that the EU and US need to adapt their strategic approach to an environment in which conflict resolution in Africa depends on the ability of African states to develop strong structures of regional cooperation.
