Visual Capitalist posted on 26 December 2022 a survey titled "Ranking Countries by Digital Quality of Life in 2022."
The Digital Quality of Life Index ranked 117 countries, including 23 in Africa, on the basis of the following 5 metrics:
--How much time people have to work to afford a stable internet connection.
--How fast and stable the internet connectivity in a country is and how well it's improving.
--How well developed and inclusive a country's existing electronic structure is.
--How safe and protected people feel in a country.
--How advanced and digitized a country's government services are.
Of the 23 African countries, Zambia scored the best in position number 66, but 6 African countries ranked in the bottom 10 out of the 117 ranked. The Democratic Republic of the Congo held position 117, Ethiopia number 115, Mozambique number 114, Cameroon number 113, Angola number 110, and Zimbabwe number 109. Most African countries were not included in the survey, presumably because of inadequate data.
