While Ukraine has successfully made its case in Western countries against Russia's invasion, it has struggled in Africa where Moscow has historical sentiment and diplomatic resources on its side. As many as 4,000 African online news websites republish content provided by Kremlin-sponsored media like Russia Today and Sputnik.
