South Africa's foreign policy under President Cyril Ramaphosa has shifted to a strong emphasis on economic diplomacy combined with a commitment to progressive internationalism. It has tried to maintain strong relations with both the West and Global South but has gravitated increasingly towards Russia, China, and India. Unfortunately for South Africa, this approach has not resulted in significant economic benefits.
