The International Crisis Group (ICG) released on 27 May 2016 a 20 minute podcast titled "Sudan's Islamists: From Salvation to Survival" with Magnus Taylor, ICG Horn of Africa analyst.
Taylor's balanced discussion covers Sudan's domestic political situation amid on-going conflict in peripheral areas, the regime's new foreign policy pragmatism and Middle East orientation, and how the West can have a more constructive relationship with Khartoum.
The ICG published a long report under the same title on 21 March 2016.
