China Has Little to Fear from US Africa Policy

The South China Morning Post published on 28 January 2019 an oped titled "China Has Nothing To Fear from America's Africa Strategy, As It's Largely Bluster" by David Shinn and Joshua Eisenman.

US National Security Adviser John Bolton unveiled in December a new American strategy towards Africa. One of the key components of the policy is to challenge China in Africa. The problem is that a combination of structural obstacles, inadequate US government financial resources, and insufficient high-level attention largely eviscerate the new policy.
