China and Africa Align Visions for Future, Maybe

Brookings published on 27 December 2021 an analysis titled "An Examination of the 2035 Vision for China-Africa Cooperation" by Yun Sun.

The 2035 Vision for China-Africa Cooperation defines the framework of China-Africa cooperation for the next 15 years.  The 8 areas for cooperation are: partnerships in development; trade, investment and financing; industrial cooperation; green cooperation; health; people-to-people exchanges; peace and security; and cooperation on global governance.

Comment:  The document assumes the 53 African countries that recognize Beijing agree on this vision and that China will continue to provide financing to underwrite much of the program.
