African Arguments published on 16 March 2021 a commentary titled "Ethiopia: PM Abiy's Three Big Challenges" by Nick Westcott, director of the Royal Africa Society.
According to the author, the three major challenges facing Ethiopia are continuing conflict and disorder in Tigray Region, tension on the border with Sudan, and national elections scheduled for June.
