The UAE's longstanding support for the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces in Sudan may not result in any positive gains for the Emiratis. It also seems to have facilitated a resumption in relations between the Sudan Armed Forces and Iran, which is delivering arms to its headquarters in Port Sudan.
