Aljazeera published on 14 June 2024 an article titled "Sudan's Army Repels Major Assault on El Fasher; Kills RSF Commander."
The Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) repelled a recent major Rapid Support Forces (RSF) attack on El Fasher, capital of North Darfur and the last SAF stronghold in Darfur region. The SAF claimed it inflicted heavy losses on the RSF and killed one of its senior commanders.
