The Guardian published on 11 June 2019 an article titled "Leaked Documents Reveal Russian Effort to Exert Influence in Africa" by Luke Harding and Jason Burke.
This is a somewhat overwrought account of Russian efforts to increase its influence in Africa. While Russia has stepped up its game in a number of African countries, it does so with limited resources, a relatively weak economy, and other higher foreign policy priorities.
