The National Interest published on 3 September 2023 a commentary titled "What Is Wagner's 'Value Proposition' in Africa?" by J. Peter Pham.
The Wagner Group will survive in some capacity in Africa because there is a strong demand for what it offers. There is a question whether the successor to the Wagner Group can maintain the complex web of commercial enterprises and trade links that Yevgeniy Prigozhin established.
