Major Power Rivalry in Africa

The Council on Foreign Relations published in May 2021 a study titled "Major Power Rivalry in Africa" by Michelle D. Gavin, senior fellow for Africa at the Council.

The study covers the United States, China, Russia, EU, UK, India, Japan, Gulf States, and Turkey.  The author concludes that major power rivalry cannot be ignored, but it also should not dominate the Biden administration's vision for US-Africa relations.
